CERTIFICATE OF MINISTRY & LEADERSHIP

Beyond the basic education for all men at Rockhill Farm, the Farm also houses a 156-hour Certificate program administered by Claremont School of Theology/Claremont Lincoln University. These institutions have a reputation for providing world-class and cutting-edge education in practical religious studies. The Certificate program is meant primarily to serve the men of Rockhill Farm, but it is open to all adults who share in the Farm’s mission.

Purpose: The Rockhill Institute Certificate of Ministry & Leadership is designed for adults who are interested in exploring seminary education and/or serving their community in a variety of lay ministry roles. Recognizing the role that spirituality plays in the communities it serves, the program is focused on practical and contextual education (primarily serving Kern County, California) meant primarily to equip its graduates with the necessary skills to transform underprivileged communities. At the same time, intellectual development and critical thinking skills will be fundamental to the learning objectives of the Certificate. In terms of content, the curriculum will focus on basic biblical and theological education, as well as pragmatic interreligious and political organizing education.

Faculty: The Rockhill Institute Certificate of Ministry & Leadership (RICML) program employs some of the finest theological and organizing scholars and practitioners in the world, drawn from Claremont School of Theology/Claremont Lincoln University and beyond.

Graduation: When the program is completed, Claremont School of Theology/Claremont Lincoln University confers the Certificate and the honor of alumni/ae status.
